Neil Roy Austin, 61, of Coudersport, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. Beloved husband of Marcia (Gates) Austin, they married October 13, 1979.

Neil was born on September 10, 1955, in Kane, PA, he was the son of the late Neil G. and Eunice (Brown) Austin.

Neil worked as a dispatcher with Arvos for nearly 30 years, retiring in February of 2017. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved trapping, fly fishing, and appreciated the natural beauty around him.  He was an excellent fly tyer.  He was also a charter member of the Coudersport Trout Unlimited.  Neil will be remembered conversing, joking, and laughing with family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. 

In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his brother, John Austin.

Left to cherish his memory are, his loving wife, Marcia Austin of Coudersport; sons, Ben Austin of Newark, DE and Brad (Sarah) Austin of Camp Hill, PA; one granddaughter on the way; a brother, Peter Austin of Illinois;  sisters, Deb Bussard of North Rose, NY and Chris (Andy) Conway of Farmington, NY; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either, the Alliance Church of Coudersport, 7 Alliance Ave. Coudersport, PA 16915 or the Genesis Bible Church, 4193 State Route 19 South, Belmont, NY 14813.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1pm at the Coudersport Alliance Church. A receiving of family and friends will be held prior to service from 11am- 1pm. Pastor Joe Gerhart and Pastor Mark Chamberlain will be officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas E.
