Robert C. Morey

Robert C. Morey, 87, lifelong resident of Coudersport, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at
UPMC Cole, Coudersport.

Bob was born on July 31, 1933 in Coudersport, the son of the late Albert C. and Grace L.
(Davey) Morey.

Bob retired from National Fuel Gas in 1993 after 28 years of service. He was a proud Army
veteran and an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending time in the woods and knew his beloved
Potter County mountains like the back of his hand. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing,
looking for old bottles, snowmobiling, metal detecting and was skilled at fixing things, which he
often did for friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed learning and sharing local history, and
swapping tall tales around a campfire. He will be forever loved and remembered as “Ol’
Grandpa Up North” by his grandsons.

Surviving are a loving daughter, Priscilla (John IV) Garvin of Conowingo, MD; brothers, Bill
Morey of West Pike; Donald Morey of Smethport; Ron (Joanne) Morey of Coudersport;
grandchildren, John (Ashley) Garvin V, Josh (Madison) Garvin, Morgan Moyer, Brett Page and
Hunter Garvin; two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and
nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Morey, brothers,
Charles and Owen Morey, and sisters, Donna Potocek and Frances Swanger.

A graveside service will be held July 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Sweden Hill Cemetery.
