Marjorie Gledhill Obituary

Marjorie “Gay” Gledhill , formerly of Austin, PA passed away at UPMC Cole Saturday June 25, 2022 after a long illness. She was 88 years. She was the daughter of Brantley G. Graham and Thelma Graham, born in Newport, Arkansas in 1934.

Left to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses, David and Donna Gledhill of Parrish, Florida,  Ann Marie and Arnie Heitzenrader of Austin, PA; Albert and Michele Gledhill of Austin Pa; Christina and Donald Calamaro of Johns Creek ,GA; Daniel and Kelly Gledhill of Lillington, North Carolina. She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Merry Schaedler of Connecticut, and Judith Stratton of Florida. Along with her family and friends she will be missed by many.

Gay is predeceased by her husband of 37 years Clifford Albert Gledhill, and two daughters, Carol Gay Gledhill and Susan Jeanette Richards.

She leaves a legacy as a committed Christian who was a follower of Jesus, understanding the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. In the final stages of her life she reminded those around her that through faith in Jesus Christ, one will not “grieve without hope” (1 Thessalonians 4:13). Mrs. Gledhill was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and friend. She was committed member of the Austin community and describes her time as a school nurse at Austin School System as a wonderful opportunity where she was able to give back to the community by serving the children.

A private service celebrating her life for family will be held at White Marsh Memorial Park Cemetery, Ambler, PA where she will be interred next to her husband Clifford and daughter Carol.
