Kathryn M. Mooney

Kathryn M. Mooney, 94, of Wharton, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 at her residence.

Kathryn was born on March 9, 1925, in Warwick, PA, the daughter of the late Wilmer M. and Ethel M. (Lloyd) Mauger.  On July 11, 1958 she married William Samuel Mooney and they celebrated 56 years of marriage together until his passing on November 8, 2014.

Kathryn retired from Unisys in 1975 after 35 years as a secretary.  She was a member of the East Fork Sportsman Club, a life member of the Austin VFW and a past president of the auxiliary, a member of the American Legion, Potter Post 192, Coudersport, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and past Worthy Matron of the former Micca Chapter 217 and now a member of the Eulalia Chapter 148.   

Kathryn is survived by a step son, William Reid (Mary) Mooney of Womelsdorf; a step daughter, Robyn (Richard) Honora of Baton Rouge, LA; care givers, Vicky and Larry Wagner of Austin and Nicci Brandt of Austin; and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Glory was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Mauger.

At Kathryn’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.
