Edward L. Black, 72, of Coudersport passed away early Saturday July 31,2021 in his home surrounded by family. He was born July 24, 1949 in Coudersport, the son of Charles and Dorothy (Seeley) Black. On July 22, 1969 he married Darla Kay Hallett, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage. Together they raised their three children in the Coudersport area. Edward worked at L.H. Lincoln and Pure Carbon, and had enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by two daughters: Deborah L. Hint (Dean) of Cuba, NY, and Barbara A. Black (Timothy Carpenter) of Coudersport; a daughter-in-law: Shari Parks of Galeton; 6 grandchildren: Kylie Hint, Cory Hint, Joe Baker, Brent Baker, Sheldon Carpenter, and Robert Carpenter; a brother: David Black (Bonnie) of Shinglehouse; a sister-in-law: Pat Black of Coudersport; and many nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son: “Butch” Black, a grandson: Donny Hint, and a brother: Gordon Black.
In accordance with Edward’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service at his family’s convenience, and his arrangements have been entrusted to the Thomas Fickinger Funeral Home 210 North East Street Coudersport, PA.
