Dorothy Marie Olmstead, 74, of Coudersport, died Monday, February 1, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Dorothy was born on November 7, 1946, in Honeoye, the daughter of the late Cecil N. and Edna M. (Brabham) Olmstead. She was at one time married to Ernest G. “Butch” Jackson.
Dorothy was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School, Class of 1965. She enjoyed playing Bingo and painting.
Dorothy is survived by three daughters; Michalle (Ray Tate) Dubots, Lynette (Richard) Davis both of Coudersport; Jeannie Jackson of Ft. Scott, KS; four grandchildren, Cecil (Deanna) Dubots, Sean (Kayla) Davis, Timecka (Dana Stevens) Dubots, and Ridge Jackson; two great grandsons, Dane Stevens and Brayden Davis ; two sisters, Carolyn (Denny) Calkins of Salcha, AK; Linda Tronetti of Port Allegany; special friends, Joann Weitzel, Dolly Shadden, and Robin Engl-Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Kenneth Olmstead and a sister, Bernice Jean Olmstead.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no visitation and a celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at a later date. A private burial will be in East Sharon Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1344 University Ave #270, Rochester, NY 14607 or to the funeral home to help with expenses.
The family has entrusted the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 North East St. Coudersport, PA, with her arrangements.
