Bonnabell "Bonnie" J. Reed

Bonnabell J. Reed (Bonnie C. Reed) 97 of Coudersport passed away Sunday January 12, 2020 at Sweden Valley Manor. 

Born March 8, 1922 to Glenn H. and Lida A. (Roberts) Corey in Coudersport, PA. 

She was a graduate of Coudersport High School’s class of 1940.  Bonnie attended Bradford’s School of Nursing and worked in Coudersport for Dr.’s Herman and George Mosch in Coudersport.  She married the late Darwin “Duke” Reed.  Bonnie was a member of the Park United Methodist Church in Coudersport, Eulalia Chapter 148 Order of Eastern Star, and the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and for many years she volunteered at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital.

Bonnie is survived by a daughter:  Darlene L. Unger of Jonestown, PA; a son:  Roger W. Reed of DuBois, PA; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and one brother:   Paul (Josephine) Corey of Coudersport.  She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, daughter:  Janet (Mike), four brothers:  Roderick, Merlyn, Edwin and Dean Corey, and a sister:  Glendora Chilson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the family’s convenience, and those wishing to make a donation in Bonnie’s memory are requested to remember the Park United Methodist Church 15 E. 3rd St. Coudersport, PA 16915, or Potter County Hospice 1001 E. 2nd St. Coudersport, PA 16915. 

The family has entrusted the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home 210 North East St. Coudersport, PA 16915 with her arrangements.
