Mary Esther Holmberg, 53, of Coudersport, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at her home after an extended illness. She was born in Coudersport on October 12, 1972, the daughter of the late Jacob Frombach and Naomi (Minor) Frombach of Coudersport. She married Jason Holmberg on December 18, 1999, and recently celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary.
Esther was a graduate of Coudersport High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Mansfield University, graduating with honors. She was a faithful member of the Gospel Tabernacle.
Esther was the owner and operator of Romantic Homes and Gardens in Coudersport, a business through which she expressed her creativity, love of beauty, and attention to detail.
She greatly enjoyed entertaining and hosting, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. Whether welcoming guests into her home, planning gatherings, or caring for those around her, Esther did everything with a spirit of excellence—thoughtfully, generously, and with deep consideration for others.
In addition to her husband and mother, Esther is survived by her three children: Jacob (Rebekah) Holmberg, Isabella Holmberg, and Jesse Holmberg; a sister, Rachel (Chad) Cowburn; a brother, Jacob Frombach, all of Coudersport; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter.
