Maribelle M. Dunn

Maribelle M. Dunn, 90, of Coudersport, passed away on July 28, 2023, at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport. She was born on September 14, 1932, in Farmers Valley, the daughter of the late John and Neva (Kemp) Tanner.  Maribelle married Gary E. Dunn on May 1, 1951, and they celebrated 56 years of marriage, until his passing on May 20, 2007.

Maribelle retired from the Coudersport School District after 15 years in the food service and earlier in life worked for Good Enough Poultry Farm, Coudersport for 5 years.  She was awarded an Honorary Keystone FFA degree through Coudersport School District in 1990.  She enjoyed knitting, cooking, and spending time with her family.  Maribelle also enjoyed growing up on a farm and later owning and working her farm.

Maribelle is survived by a sons, Gary E. (Brenda) Dunn of Wellsboro; Glenn D. (Joanne) Dunne of Coudersport; Bryan T. (Audrey) Dunn of Carlisle; a daughter, Doris J. Dunn of Mechanicsburg; a brother, Norman Tanner of Eldred; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.   In addition to her husband and parents, Maribelle was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tessie Kolesar, and nine brothers: James, Ward, Sylvester, Nelson, Carl, Steve, John, Roy, and Chet.

A private graveside service will be at Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport.  Memorial contributions in Maribelle’s name may be made to Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia, P.O. Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178 or online at giving@chop.edu.  The family has entrusted Maribelle’s arrangements to the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 N.
