Louise (Thompson) Williams

W. Louise Williams 96 of Coudersport passed away Friday April 8, 2016 at Cole Memorial Hospital.  Born September 9, 1919 to William and Bessie Courtright Thompson, on October 14, 1939 she married Harold A. Williams, who preceded her in death.   Louise worked for GTE Sylvania in Austin, drove school bus for 13 years and served on the Austin School Board for 25 years.  A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she prided herself on her family values.  Louise was a Methodist, and was a member of The Get Together Club.  She was very active in the Eastern Star, a 60+ year member and Past Worthy Matron of Mecca Chapter #217 in Austin where she had been the oldest living member.

She is survived by 1 daughter:  Carol L. Deasey of Ontario, NY, 3 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren,  5 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great- great nieces and nephews and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter:  Beverly A. Whitney, and 1 granddaughter: Annette Knight.

Family and friends are invited to the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 North East Street Coudersport, PA for Louise’s Life Celebration on Tuesday April 12 from 1-2pm with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home, Rev.
