Lowell Lawrence (Larry) Werstler 91, passed away May 16, 2026 at the Felt Manor in Emporium, PA . Larry was born July 20th, 1934 on Sweden Hill, Coudersport PA to Lawrence Valentine Werstler and Lucinda Star (Royer) Werstler. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Geraldine (Geri) Werstler, one grandson, Taylor, and two great grandsons, Sebastian and Leonardo. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his son Thomas and wife Valerie Werstler, his granddaughters, Mikenzi (David) Sabatino, Skylar (Dylan) Baxter, Tanjee (Michael) Coleman, and Trinity Werstler as well as three great granddaughters, Nadia, Irissa, and Eliza Sabatino. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two sisters, Joan Hill of Jacksonville Beach, FL, and Marguerite Closs of Fernandina Beach, FL.
Larry was an Army Infantry Veteran and loved to tell stories of his time stationed in Fort Sill, OK. He retired from Morgan AM&T of Coudersport, PA. He had also been a barber practicing in Coudersport and Austin, PA. He was an avid hunter, beekeeper, gardener, and storyteller.
He lived with his two surviving sisters in Florida for 15 years prior to moving back to Pennsylvania on Memorial Day 2025. While living in Florida, he attended the First Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs, Fl. When he moved back to Pennsylvania, he attended and was a life member of the Austin Free Methodist Church of Austin, PA. This is the same church that he had given his life to the Lord in his early teens and where he also led bible study and taught Sunday School .
Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Larry's life from 5pm-6pm Wednesday May 27, 2026, at God's Country Ministries, 1237 East Second Street Coudersport, PA, with a memorial service to follow at 6pm in the church. His arrangements have been entrusted to the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home 210 North East Street Coudersport, PA 16915.
