Joyce L. (Rossman) Miller

Joyce L. Miller, 55, a resident of Coudersport, passed away on December 26th, 2015 at the Cole Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

On April 30th, 1960, Joyce was born to her parents Clayton G. Rossman and Nancy L. Owens in Coudersport , Pa. After graduating from high school,  Joyce would later find her home in Rising Sun, Maryland where she became a secretary in accounts receivable for AG Industrial Retail and Wholesale Farm Equipment.

For many years, Joyce fought a battle with cancer in which she became an inspiration for many women who were fighting their own battles.  Joyce was a part of many women’s support groups which include, Breast Cancer Survivors Group in Maryland, “Strength For Women” at the Life Community Church, and the Women’s Ecumenical Christian Group.  Joyce also was a member at the Free Methodist Church in Coudersport,Pa.

Joyce is survived by her son Michael Bartlett of Butler,Pa,   daughter Karen Earle, of Coudersport, brother Mark Rossman of Olean, NY, and three grandsons: Justin Michael “Sweetheart” Bartlett, William Mowery, and Kyle Mowery. Joyce also had many friends who have helped and supported her along her life’s journey, but two special friends who were just as close as family, Nola Gross and Marti Bova.

Joyce’s Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015 at the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 N. East St., Coudersport, Pa, 16915, with a visitation at 5-7pm and service to follow at 7pm with Pastor Peter Tremblay officiating.
