John E. Clay

John E. Clay, 74, of Coudersport, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, at UPMC - Cole. He was born in Lebanon on January 4, 1951, the son of the late John H. and Treva S. (Weimer) Clay.

John worked for the H.B. Reese Candy Company, Hershey. He was also a carpenter and enjoyed building things. He also enjoyed time with his son Ben, and spending time with his grand kids, and great grand kids.

John is survived by sons: John (Kelly) Clay, II, and Benjamin (Sherrell) Clay both of Coudersport; Nicolas (Erin Kulp) Clay of Halifax; a daughter, Michele (Mike Grant) Clay of Steelton; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a brother, Galen (Beth) Clay of Texas; and a sister, Geraldine (Larry) Hicksenheiser of Annville. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a son, Jermey Clay.
