Jean L. Corey, 83, of Coudersport, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Sweden Valley Manor.
Born April 8, 1934 in Port Alleghany, PA, she was the daughter of Owen and Helen Simpier.
Jean was a member of the American Legion and American Cancer Society. Jean was a loving wife and mother and took great pride in raising her children. One of her favorite hobbies was knitting. Jean will be remembered for her outgoing and friendly personality.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Dean H. Corey of Coudersport; son, Rod Corey and his wife Diane of Coudersport, PA; sister, Sara Anderson of Indiana, PA; 6 grandchildren, Rachel, Ryan, Jedidiah, Brianna, Joshua and Colton; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Haskins and her sister, Winifred Simpier.
Local arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 North East St., Coudersport, PA 16915.
