Jean Brooks

Jean (Petruzzelli) Brooks, 78, of Emporium, passed away Thursday April 2, 2026, at Sweden Valley Manor. She was born May 3, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, to Rocco and Alice (Blundel) Petruzzelli. She loved to bake and worked as a baker at many establishments. Jean was raised Catholic and had attended St. Eulalia's Catholic Church in Coudersport. She was an EMT instructor in Coudersport and was active in the Austin and Coudersport Ambulance Associations, but most of all, she loved her grandchildren and had been very involved with her granddaughter.

Jean is survived by four sons: Raymond Kratz (Maranda) of Kersey, Richard Kratz (Molly) of Pottstown, Robert Kratz (Heather) of Ellwood City, and David Brooks of California; nine grandchildren: Tylor, Ryan, Nevaeh, Caryn, Andrew, Liam, Abby, Charley and Faith; five great grandchildren; two sisters: Kathy Phillips of Philadelphia, and Alice Carr of AZ; and her dog Pixie. She was preceded in death by her parents.
