H. Arlene Pepper

December 16, 1930 — April 1, 2026

Arlene Pepper, 95, of Coudersport, passed away early Wednesday April 1, 2026, at Sweden Valley Manor. She was born December 16, 1930, in Austin, PA, and she grew up in Coudersport where she was raised by her mother and step-father Myrtle (Goodwin) and Harold McCann. On January 16, 1949, she married Milford Charles Pepper and together they raised a son and two daughters. Arlene had been a member of the Park United Methodist Church in Coudersport, she loved to read, especially mysteries, and enjoyed going to plays at the Totem Pole Theater in Chambersburg. But above all else, she was devoted to her family.

Arlene is survived by a son: Jay Pepper of Coudersport; two daughters: Janet Kuratomi (Gus) of Wellsboro, and Jamison Fisher of Bridgeport, WV; two grandchildren: Mariah Rackley (Nathan) of Lebanon, PA, and Nathanial Kuratomi of Huntington, WV; and three great-grandchildren: Jack Kuratomi of Huntington, WV, Ben Rackley of Lebanon, and Will Rackley of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and five sisters: Evelyn Phillips, Gladys Riganey, Ethel Palmer, Vera Pekarski, and Sylvia Furman.

In accordance with Arlene's wishes there will be no public services, and the Thomas Fickinger Funeral Home 210 N. East Street Coudersport, PA has been entrusted with her arrangements.
