Gladys M. Coen

Gladys M. (Heffern) Coen, 72, of Coudersport passed away Monday December 7, 2020 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.  She was born July 24, 1948 in Franklin, the daughter of the late Clarence and Edith (Caldwell) Heffern. She married Garrett Coen on May 4, 1990 in Ulysses and celebrated nine years of marriage until his passing on December 6, 1999.

Gladys was a member of Gospel Tabernacle, Coudersport and worked at Charles Cole Hospital.

Gladys is survived by three brothers:  Joseph E. (Janet) Heffern of Slippery Rock, Samuel L. Emanuele of Union City, and Andrew C. Deuel of Arkansas; and two sisters:  Ruth M. Heffern of Knoxville, and Donna Pawlowski of Arkansas.

Due to the health concerns and social restrictions surrounding Covid-19, there will be no public services, and she will be interred in Forest Hill Cemetery in Austin.  In Lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions in Gladys’ name be made to the Gospel Tabernacle, 420 Route 6 West, Coudersport, PA 16915.
