Geraldine Crayton, 93, of Coudersport, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at UPMC-Cole, Coudersport, surrounded by family. She was born on March 23, 1931, in Lemont Furnace, PA, the daughter of the late Carl Edison and Zelda Mae (Landman) Goodwin. Geraldine married Gerald T. Crayton on July 15, 1960, and celebrated 54 years of marriage until his passing on November 24, 2014.
Geraldine worked numerous jobs early in life, including Keystone Fireworks Factory, Dunbar, and later for many years at Rockwell Meters. She became a homemaker when the family moved to Oakmont. She was a member of the Cove Run Free Methodist Church, Lemont Furnace. Geraldine loved spending time with her family, they were a constant source of joy and happiness in her life. She loved nature and the outdoors. She thoroughly enjoyed all types of wildlife, feeding the birds, and going to see the elk. Her family will miss her dearly but have countless joyful memories of her to cherish forever.
Geraldine is survived by a daughter: Sherry (Kenneth) Clark of Austin; grandsons, Wesley and Benjamin Clark, a sister: Anna Mae Dursa of Uniontown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Carl Goodwin, Jr. and Robert Goodwin, and a sister, Ruth Goodwin.
At Geraldine’s and the family’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
