Edward J. Gable, 93 of Coudersport, PA passed away Monday, January 11, 2016 at Sweden Valley Manor.
Born October 23, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of Edward and Elizabeth Biederman Gable.
Edward was a graduate of North Catholic High School, a World War 2 veteran and had worked many years as a milkman for Engel’s Dairy and a security guard for the IRS. He was of the Catholic faith. He loved reading and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years the late Rita Marone Gable. He is survived by his 5 children; Edward Gable of Sicklerville, NJ, Robert Gable of Fairless Hills, PA, William Gable of Pottstown, PA, Nancy Gruver of Coudersport, PA and Dianna Silks of Abbington, MD, 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
At the request of the family there will be no services. Burial will be at a later date in Bucks County. Memorials may be made to local VA office, to the attention of William Worthington, Gunzburger Building 1st floor, 1 north Main St. Suite 215, Coudersport, PA 16915.
