Duane R. Gross

Duane R.  Gross, 86, of Blossburg (formerly of Roulette), passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Memorial Hermann Hospital, in The Woodlands, TX.

Duane was born on April 23, 1934, in Elmira, NY the son of the late Robert H. and Hazel (Treat) Gross.

Duane was a member of the Pipefitters Union and was a social member of the Blossburg and Morris Run American Legions, V.F.W and Newberry Independent Club (Polish Club). He enjoyed watching football and spending time with family.

Duane is survived by five children, Teri Gross Baird of Clearwater, FL; David (Cory) Gross of Spring, TX; Dane (Sarah) Gross of Winston-Salem, NC; Deb (Thomas) Farren of Emporium; and James (Tuesday) Gross of Tomball, TX; two daughter-in-laws, Rhonda Earle and Lori Gross, 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Duane was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Gross and Rick Earle.

Due to the health concerns and social restrictions surrounding Covid-19, funeral services will be private and a private burial will be in Hill Cemetery, Roulette.

The family has entrusted the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 North East St. Coudersport, with his arrangements.
