Carolyn J. Delong

Carolyn J. DeLong, 54, of Coudersport, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at her residence.

She was born on January 5, 1965 in Olean, NY the daughter of the late Kenneth and Althea (Jones) Appleby.

Carolyn was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, had a laugh that was contagious and loved to play practical jokes.

Carolyn is survived by two sons, Eric S. (Amanda) DeLong of Coudersport; and Nate J. (Brooke) DeLong of Roulette: eight grandchildren, Kiannah and Cael DeLong, Sari, Scott, Shea, Skylar & Sage Setzer and Rylee Baker, a brother, Steve Appleby of Shinglehouse; two sister-in-laws, Eva Appleby and Esther Appleby both of Shinglehouse.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry Appleby and Vic Appleby.

A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held Friday, November 29, 2019 at 11 am at the First Baptist Church, 120 Academy St, Shinglehouse.  A reception will follow at the Shinglehouse American Legion.
