Jean E. Lent, 87, of Coudersport, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 26, 2018, at UPMC-Cole, Coudersport.
Jean was born on November 19, 1930 in Tulsa, OK, the daughter of the late Wray Johnson and Minnie Kemery.
She was a graduate of Zion Bible Institute, class of 1951. Jean was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle, Coudersport.
Jean’s greatest passion was teaching music and working with music ensembles. Jean traveled all over the globe. During her travels she participated in missionary work in Israel teaching music to blind children.
Jean is survived by three adult children, a sister and many grand and great grand children. Son, Timothy Lent of PA; daughter Clarissa and her husband Vincent DiPilato of CT; daughter Priscilla and her husband Gary Davis of IL. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Linden Hosley, a brother, Wilbur Johnson and a grandson, Dylan Langworthy.
A private memorial service will be held at the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 North East Street, Coudersport followed by a private burial in Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in Jean’s name be made to either of the following: Zion Fellowship for sound system upgrade, c/o Dr. Paul Caram, 835 SR 49 West, Ulysses, PA 16948 or the Coudersport Area School District for musical equipment for the elementary school, attn: the Business office, 698 Dwight Street, Coudersport, PA 16915.
