Ruth L. (Lamont) Lehman

Ruth L. Lehman, 86 , a long time resident of Sweden Valley Manor of Coudersport, PA passed away October 9, 2017 at Cole Memorial Hospital.

Born in Odin, PA , April 17, 1931 she was the daughter of Henry and Beatrice Bradley Lamont Jr.

She was a 1948 graduate of Austin High School and also coordinator of their 50th class reunion in 1998.

On October 2, 1954 she married Norman “Corky” Lehman Jr. who preceded her in death January 30, 2006. Ruth is survived by her only daughter Lori Kay Lehman of Coudersport.

She was employed by Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator for 14 years in the Coudersport office. She worked as a clerk for J. C. Penneys for 16 months and she was  a switchboard operator and admissions clerk at Cole Memorial Hospital for 18 years, retiring in 1985.She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and vacationing in Florida with her family. Ruth also adored her cats. She had a great interpersonal skills and working with the public. She was also a member of TOPS.

A receiving of friends and family will be held, Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 North East St., Coudersport, PA from 2-4pm. Funeral services to follow at 4pm, Tyler Currie, officiating celebrant. Burial will take place in Sweden Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to your local SPCA.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, aunts, uncles and cousins.
