Howard W. Bowman, 69, resident of Austin, passed away on October 14, 2016, surrounded by his family at home.

Howard was born on March 19, 1947, to his parents, Howard P. and Edith Harrison, who resided in Stroudsburg, PA. 

On August 28, 1983, Howard married Margaret Bush and would eventually move to Austin, where he currently was a resident.  Howard was a truck driver and also an owner and/or operator of several taverns in Carbon and Lehigh counties.  He was a past member of the Stroudsburg Volunteer Fire Co.

Howard enjoyed talking to everyone whether it was at the tavern, in the store or out in the street.  He enjoyed playing pool and loved to watch the Philadelphia Eagles.  Howard also loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially getting candy with them during Halloween.

Howard is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Michael Bowman, Scott Bowman, Trevor Bowman; daughter, Ariel Bowman; stepson, Chris (Deanna) Bush; and five grandchildren.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents, and his half brother, Graydon Bowman.
