Francis A. Bertron, 90, of Coudersport, PA passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Sweden Valley Manor.

Born October 1, 1926 in Bradford, PA, he was the son of Frank W. and Grace Toombs Bertron.  He married Vernice Haynes who survives.

Francis served in the U. S. Navy during W W II. He worked for many years at Pittsburgh Corning in Port Allegany. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Coudersport. Francis enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Francis is survived by his wife Vernice,; daughters Wanda  Randall, Coudersport, PA and Penny (Ron ) Bosworth, Pittsfield, PA, sister; Betty Bells, New Oxford, PA, 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Bertron, brother; Donald Bertron, sisters; Ethel Gross, Ruth Dutton-McCumber, and Arvilla Denning.

Services for Francis will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 North East St, Coudersport, PA with a visitation from 12-1pm, service at 1pm. Burial in Card Creek Cemetery, Roulette, PA.
